Disability Rights North Carolina is a non-profit legal organization, and North Carolina’s Protection and Advocacy agency, in Raleigh, North Carolina representing individuals with disabilities. When you go to these clinics please remember to take a record of your immunizations and medications you are taking. These clinics are available for everyone in the community who does not have any type of insurance or Medicaid. The services offered at these clinics include health care for children and adults, no appointment necessary, health assessments, immunizations, health screening, and lab test. Please call the clinics if you need more information.

Low Cost Insurance

Life Line

Life Line Linkup is a program that offers a reduced monthly fee for basic telephone service. You may qualify for this if you receive SSI, food stamps, or Medicaid. Please inquire with your telephone company for additional information.  Fill out the application and fax it to 1-888-726-3223.

Food Stamps

If you do not already receive food stamps here is some information to assist you in the process of applying. Complete initial paperwork (please note this is not the application) for a representative to contact you. Once completed, an agency representative from DSS will call you and set up an appointment for you to fill out the application. This is for your convenience so that you will not have to wait in long lines. If immediate assistance with food is needed, YOU MUST GO TO DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES and apply for emergency food stamps. This can get you help in seven to ten days. Whereas, waiting for an appointment can take up to thirty days.
