Qualifications for Employment:
- High School Diploma or GED (paraprofessional positions) with at least 1 year of experience or
4 year degree in Human Services & 2 years mental health experience or
4 year degree in alternative field and 4 years experience (Professional Positions)
- NC Driver's license or the ability to obtain one
- TB skin test/chest x-ray
- Auto liability insurance
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States (i.e. Social Security Card)
- CPR/First Aid
- NCI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention)
- Medical Report (physical)
- No substantiated reports of abuse or neglect on the NC Health Care Registry

All potential employees undergo a thorough investigation prior to hire. It includes: Criminal Record Check, Sex Offender Registry Check, NC Health Care Registry Check, Driving Record Check, Physical, TB Testing, Reference Checks (past 3 employers), Bloodborne Pathogens (OSHA), CPR and First Aid Certification, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training (NCI) and Medication Administration (if applicable). Once a potential employee meets our criteria in the above checks, they participate in orientation and training prior to working with a consumer. All employees participate in regularly scheduled trainings and in-services to maintain employment with our agency.

Benefits are available to all full time (37-40 hrs per week & all salaried positions)
